View this post on Instagram Tree from Rock-A-Bye Baby nursery rhyme? Betty Kenny's Tree where Betty (Kate Kenyon) laid her babies in the hollowed out boughs of this ancient yew (2000 years old) where she lived during the 1700s in a shelter built around the trunk whilst she and her husband, Luke, tended to their charcoal burning here in Shining Cliff Woods, Derbyshire. Sadly the tree was badly burnt in the 1930's and the remains several times since.
