View this post on Instagram More pics of the collapsing Cononley Lead Mine. The fist pic is the Middle Level drift starting from a raise from the roof of the incline. Note the (rotting) unsawn timber trunks used for props dating from around 1850. You can see the gradient of the incline in the second pic (about 1 in 4), the mud is level and the brick courses are parallel to the incline.
