Badger, in a Yorkshire wood

View this post on Instagram

First time badger spotting and success! Sighting at 9:40pm, about half an hour after sunset after waiting for over forty minutes. Nearly gave up as it was getting really dark - it was point and hope with the camera. It explored around its sett for five minutes or so before it either wandered off, or it was just to dark to see. Poor quality due to high ISO, cheap camera, no optical zoom and extreme enhancement afterwards, so no chance for video. I will try to do a video soon putting together the bits I have whilst it was light and talk through the photos. #badger #badgerspotting #badgersett #inadeepdarkwood #nearafield #onasteepslope

Mystery American car

View this post on Instagram

What is this old car? Must be fifty years old, and strangely beat-up for a classic car. Looks like something out of an old American horror - there is no driver... #hauntedcar

Bramhope Tunnel

View this post on Instagram

Fancy grade 2 listed northern portal on the 1849 Bramhope tunnel built by the Leeds Thirsk Railway. At over two miles long it was the third longest tunnel in the country when built. Sadly it looks like Network Rail have recently (in the last few years) filled the eastern tower which orginally had habitable rooms with fireplaces and a staircase joining the levels. #bramhopetunnel #railwaytunnel #railtunnel #folly #bramhope #arthington #railway #crenellations #railwayarchitecture #exploration #foxgloves #hiddenarchitecture

Ticket booth, Hyde Park Picture House

View this post on Instagram

Watched 2001 - A Space Odyssey. Great in parts, a over long in others and weird at the end. Apparently when first released it was a popular film to see when high for the trippy end sequences. HAL steals the show. Looks great for a 50 year of film though. Futuristic sci-fi in gas lit old cinema. Alexa won't open the pod bay doors either...

Old Tram Rail in Park

View this post on Instagram

Just noticed this random piece of old tram rail in the park (has a groove the wheel flanges run in when on roads which rail track doesn't - don't look at Manchester's weird tram rail choice though :/ ) Looks half filled so probably covered over in the road when trams were replaced by trolley buses (between 1930 and 1950) and removed at some later point. Why put it in park half buried?
