Processed/dressed ore was tipped down Taylor's shaft via a short tramway which ran over the beck from the Engine House complex into a hopper and ore carts at the bottom. The carts were pushed out by hand along the tramway in this adit which continued on downstream a short distance to the smelting works. 53.9145N, 2.0311W #cononleyleadmines #leadmine #abandonedplaces #mineexploring #yorkshire #abandonedmine A post shared by John | Exploration and history (@merrytrek) on Mar 15, 2019 at 2:42pm PDT
