Emmerdale's Woolpack at Esholt

View this post on Instagram

The Woolpack, Esholt - Emmerdale filmed here from 1976 until 1998 when the village and pub was recreated within the extensive grounds of Harewood House a few miles away due to increasing filming demands - two episodes a week until 1997 when it went to three, and then five from 2000). Interior filming has always used studios in Leeds. The 19th century building was originally the Combers Arms then the Commercial Inn but was renamed to match it's fictional title. Bradford's council bought the pub in the early 20th C when it thought it might need the land for the nearby sewage works and owned it until 2004, it was sold again in 2006 to Enterprise Inns since when it has had an unsettled time #curseofpubco #esholt #thewoolpack #emmerdale #emmerdalefarm #pubs #beckindale #enterpriseinns #bradfordcorporation
